Rothacs Data Protection and Privacy Statement

We are required to collect and retain personal and sensitive information about service users under legal and contractual obligations. Electronic and paper based data will be securely stored, archived and destroyed following general data protection guidelines.

Data will be used mainly for monitoring, income generation, and quality assurance which will include statistical analysis and reporting.

We will not share personal or identifiable information about service users unless there are legitimate reasons for doing so. These could include concerns over safeguarding or a legal obligation (for example, court subpoena or police investigation) where we are ordered by a court to release information.

The ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy) Service works closely with the Police and Criminal Justice System and there are further exceptions for this service. If a Rothacs ISVA worker is made aware of information which may be relevant to a police investigation or may prejudice court proceedings, they are legally obliged to disclose this information.

As a service user, you can request to see what information we hold about you and request to have the information removed.
