Referrals to ROTHACS

Learn how to refer yourself or someone else to our service.

If you would like to refer yourself to our counselling service, please click on the link below which will take you to our secure portal.

We will contact you to book in your assessment but please be aware that we are currently experiencing a high volume of referrals and we do not have a time frame for when we will contact you by.

Referrals are not deemed as accepted until after the assessment procedure is complete and a decision has been made.

If you are making a referral on behalf of someone it is important they know you are making this referral and they understand that counselling is voluntary. Statistics show that if an individual has made the referral themselves and understands what the service offers they are more likely to attend on a regular basis and make progress.

Our waiting list is still suspended for referrals from most third parties. If you feel your client needs support please advise them to contact their GP, IAPT,  or view our resources page for alternative services. The only Rothacs services which will continue to accept NEW referrals from third parties are counselling for young people aged 18 and under.

If you are unsure about the various forms of abuse, we have prepared a list of definitions that you may find useful. Please note, we only work with direct survivors of abuse →

Re-referrals

Clients can refer to the service a maximum of 3 times. Re-referrals will be assessed by the Clinical Lead or the  Senior counsellor. A pre-counselling package may be required before you are accepted on to our waiting list.

See what our clients say about us…

“(my ISVA) made me feel completely empowered and able to take control back. I don’t think I would have ever moved on without her. I feel that life is good now, (my ISVA) helped to give my family their mum back, I can never thank her enough.”

“No words can describe how much you helped us through this difficult time and kept us strong and most of all laughing…”
