Our Services
Our service can support you in taking control of your situation!
We are able to offer counselling to young people and adults who have suffered a form of abuse at any time in their life.
Counselling can help people to manage and relieve the distress caused by abuse. Our counselling service can support you in taking control of your situation and decisions in making your future a positive one.
If something has happened to you, then talking about things can help. Our trained counsellors are here to listen to you without judgement, they won’t tell you what to do and they won’t give out your personal information (unless in exceptional circumstances).
If you think that our services may be beneficial, you can refer yourself to the service through our contact page, more information on the services we offer can be accessed through the links below:
What is the Trauma & Resilience Service?
The Rotherham Trauma & Resilience Service, is an NHS commissioned service , run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). Commissioned in 2018 we aim to provide personalised pathways of support for survivors of Child Sexual Exploitation, Operation Stovewood and their families.
How can we help ?
The aim of the TRS service is to improve access to support options and reduce barriers for survivors who need specialist help by holding you at the heart of everything we do, hearing your voice and supporting you in whatever path you choose. We do this by working closely together in partnership with Rothacs, GROW and Rotherham RISE as well as many other locally based organisations.
We also recognise that deciding whether or not to give evidence in court, as a witness or as a survivor, is a crucial point in the journey for a number of reasons. It is a time of heightened stress and anxiety with the potential for re-traumatisation and, in some cases, destabilisation, in respect to your mental and physical health and wellbeing.
As part of the Trauma stabilisation Service our specialist CSE/A counsellors are offering individual stabilisation sessions . These will cover
Session 1 – Introduction to trauma and PTSD
Session 2 – Dissociation and window of tolerance
Session 3 – Routines and cycles of change
Session 4 – Emotions
Session 5 – Compassion
Session 6 – Evaluation, endings
